The Hewlett Point Yacht Club was established in 1944 by a group of hardy individuals who wanted to have not only a place to dock their boats, but also a place to bring their families.
They figured that if they did most of the work themselves, they could create a great gathering place, and one that was not too expensive. Guess what? They were right and out of their dreams came the Hewlett Point Yacht Club. The tradition still lasts to this day. Not only does it keep the prices down, but it creates a camaraderie amongst the members not found everywhere.
